Eaton’s Bussmann Division is currently seeking a Divisional Engineering Director to join our team. This position is based at our Ellisville, MO facility.

You will define innovative product and technology roadmaps that drive organic growth in concert with product line marketing and business leaders
You will develop next generation of technical leaders and experts through coaching and performance management initiatives and via the selective recruitment of top talent
You will lead the development of customer centric solutions that are differentiated with demonstrated value to the growth and profitability of the business
You will facilitate product development life cycle management on new products from concept to launch, including specification, design, validation, and certification testing using the Agile or phase gate process
You will drive design for manufacturability best practices and partner closely with Operations leadership to ensure the smooth introduction of products into manufacture.
You will drive continuous improvement by implementing value add/value engineering (VA/VE) projects to achieve annual cost reduction goals.
You will keep current on changing technologies and best practices

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering required.
A minimum of 10 years’ experience in NPD and program management required.
A minimum of 7 years’ experience managing a team.
Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
Highly innovative, disciplined, and results-oriented individual who has the motivation and commitment to succeed in a dynamic, changing environment
Demonstrable ability to build and develop an effective technology-focused organization
A full appreciation of the engineering disciplines associated with Product Design including Electrical Power Distribution and Control component and systems design, Electronic Circuit Design, Software/Firmware Development and Mechanical Design
Experience of full lifecycle management, i.e. taking products through a structured agile and/or stage gate process from concept through to volume manufacture
Possess working knowledge of associated electrical standards and test procedures
A developed and proven technical project management skill set gained in a complex multi-project environment
A demonstrable ability to manage a multi-disciplined, multi-site development team
Strong business acumen with potential for career advancement in Eaton
Ability to interact successfully with other disciplines to seek out solutions to problems
Strong executive presentation skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
