TeleTech Senior Category Manager, IT in Englewood, Colorado

TheSenior Category Manageris the primary support for the Strategic Sourcing team’s internal customers, addressing the sourcing needs of their assigned business partners and acting as their key contact.

The Senior Category Manager, IT Telecom is responsible for developing sourcing programs and strategies focused on TTEC’s Telecom supplier base. While Telecom is the major focus of this role, you will also work with multiple categories within the Information Technology space (which may include Hardware, Software, Maintenance, Infrastructure, Security, and IT Consulting Services). For the assigned categories, you are to develop a deep understanding of the supply base and best-in-class sourcing practices in that industry, applying that knowledge to TTEC’s advantage. For your internal customers, you are to act as a single point of contact for a broad range of issues, facilitating the navigation of the procurement process , working with other members of the team when outside of their assigned sourcing category. While the role is based in Denver CO, relocation or remote work may be considered.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Provide deep functional and technical strategic sourcing, procurement and negotiation expertise in IT Telecom in addition to several other information technology based categories including hardware, software, data center hosting and network and develop, manage, and implement strategic sourcing initiatives

  • Review, correct and process new and terminations of telecom-based circuit orders globally (SIP, MPLS, INET etc)

  • Accurately track and report on existing circuits, spend associated with those circuits and account for and follow up with carriers for owed credits for cancelations and SLA violations

  • Oversee and monitor suppliers' performance and communicate results to suppliers and business stakeholders

  • Manage and arrange quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with key suppliers and business stakeholders

  • Work with Accounts Payable and Finance teams to ensure accuracy in credit applications to invoices

  • Experience in implementing cost reduction initiatives in a global, multi-business environment

  • Develop category and supplier strategies proactively and collaboratively through on-going market and spend analysis

  • Develop excellent customer service to our business partners, addressing their sourcing needs with a sense of urgency

  • Assist in the overall strategy for the respective categories. Effectively plan and lead the negotiation strategy for sourcing events (RFPs). Manage the negotiation of contract terms and conditions, cost savings, service levels, and performance standards to meet desired outcomes

  • Develop a high-quality global supply base for the assigned categories, with suppliers who are positioned to meet TTEC’s current and future needs

  • Manage an evaluation process to assess supplier capabilities, financial stability, and on-going performance using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and scorecard development

  • Keep up with industry trends in the assigned categories and develop influential relationships with key supplier contacts

  • Track category spend, as well as developing and implementing a cost savings plan for the category

  • Support TTEC procurement policy and standard improvements. Encourage and enforce compliance with internal customers and suppliers.

  • Other duties and spend categories as assigned.

What skills you’ll need:

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience

  • Proven experience with sourcing and procuring technologies from providers such as Cisco, Avaya, Palo Alto, Ribbon Technologies, AT&T, CenturyLink and other major telecom providers

  • 10 years in Sourcing/Procurement environment with focus on Information Technology categories

  • Direct experience in procuring Telecom and Data Center products

  • Understanding of the Information Technology category space with proven ability to remain up-to-date on technology trends

  • Capability in applied spend analytics, Telecom Expense Management (TEM), ERP and leading-edge Sourcing Tools, Processes and strategies

  • Excellent relationship management skills

  • Proven experience in sourcing relevant procurement agreements resulting in cost savings and ease of administration

  • Confidence to operate independently

  • Experience with contract negotiation, basic contract review/legal knowledge relative to contracts; contract redline experience

  • Familiarity in global anti-corruption laws

  • A drive to deliver excellent customer service

  • Experience with Microsoft Office

  • Experience doing business with global companies

  • Oracle iProcurement, Microsoft Power BI, Oracle Purchasing (preferred)

  • Languages: English (required)
