The Hertz Corporation Compliance Manager in Estero, Florida

General Responsibilities

The Hertz Corporation is seeking a Compliance Manager to join the Law Department Compliance Team. This position will be responsible for driving the company’s global compliance program. The individual will work closely with stakeholders from all areas of the organization. The position is full-time and based in Estero, FL.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in driving, overseeing and coordinating the administration of Hertz’s global compliance program. This includes the development, implementation and monitoring of processes and controls in various areas, including ethics, anti-corruption, antitrust, anti-boycott and data privacy.

  • Support the Third-Party Due Diligence program for North America, including providing training for various departments on the due diligence technology, monitoring and maintaining reports to and from the due diligence technology administrator, and supporting the review of due diligence questionnaires

  • Write, maintain, and support a variety of standard and ad hoc reports for the Compliance Team or Law Department and other reporting as required.

  • Maintain documentation of compliance activities, such as number of due diligence questionnaires completed, number and type of due diligence checks conducted, number of due diligence approvals and rejections, and corresponding geographical data

  • Perform monthly, quarterly and annual analysis of various data to allow a better understanding of how they compare to forecasted/planned performance and desired results.

  • Provide assistance to internal and external auditors during compliance reviews

  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred Requirements

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required or the equivalent legal or compliance experience

  • 2- 4 years of overall business experience is required, preferably in a corporate environment

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively partner with functions throughout the organization

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team

  • Enjoys a challenging and fast-paced work environment

  • Results driven

  • Resilient, adaptable, flexible

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities with strong attention to detail while meeting strict deadlines

  • Ability to research and solve problems independently

  • Ability to convey knowledge to others in a clear and concise manner
