General Responsibilities

The IT Field Service Development Program provides a unique opportunity to rotate through the business while building an outstanding career foundation in a global function.

The key responsibilitiesandaccountabilities for the incumbent are to:

IT Field Service Development Program is a fast-paced intensive program utilizing a balance of both on-the-job and classroom training. The program provides the analyst with a foundation of knowledge and gives them exposure to all the different facets of the business. This 18-month rotational program includes exposure to field and corporate operations to include applicable experience in many areas within our IT End User Computing group.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Complete the IT Field Service Development Program core rotations of:

  • IT Support for the Corporate Headquarters

  • IT Support for the Hertz Technology and Administration Centers in Oklahoma City

  • IT Support for Hertz Local Edition (HLE) aligned with a Regional IT Service Delivery Partner

  • IT Support for Hertz Airport Rent-A-Center (RAC) aligned with a Regional IT Service Delivery Partner

  • Learn how to oversee/manage IT systems, technology, and vendors that supports various business segments and staff functions, including rental operations, administrative services, and the company headquarters

  • Learn the critical milestones and vendors involved with setting up a new HLE or RAC location

  • Learn how to address escalations and critical outages that impact our retail operations

  • Learn how to provide guidance for equipment orders and technology solutions

  • Learn how IT integrates into and collaborates with the various business functions and operations

  • Work in a fast-paced environment, while providing helpful IT service that enhances Hertz’s success

  • Complete Green Belt Certification with project completion related to department of rotation

  • Meet performance goals and objectives set by upper management and determined upon accepting position

  • Report on progress of goals and objectives

  • Monitor performance progress with leaders and key mentors

  • Maintain monthly meetings with assigned mentor

  • Effectively communicate the strategic mission of all projects supporting the advancement of the organization

  • Makes suggestions on improving work procedures and elevate concerns of development program to provide optimal operational efficacies

Field Teams

  • All Hertz IT Infrastructure and Applications teams

  • External IT partners for IT services, hardware, telecommunications, etc.

  • Facilities and Construction Teams as well as applicable suppliers/contractors

  • RAC and HLE Regional Operations Teams

  • Senior Management Team

  • Various Airport Technology Vendors (Fuel Island, Gold Boards, Slotters, Security Cameras, Kiosks, Network, Telecom, etc.)

  • All Hertz IT Users (employees, contractors, consultants)

Mandatory Requirements

Educational Background:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field required

Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred

Master’s Degree in Business or a related field preferred

Professional Experience:

Ability to demonstrate professionalism, enthusiasm, and outstanding communication skills

Enterprise IT Services and Project Mgmt Experience

Strong analytical and organizational skills

Ability to multi-task, be flexible and adapt to change

Strong time management and organizational skills are required

Must have a valid driver's license, be 20 years of age, with an acceptable driving record

Geographically mobile for three years, including the two-year duration of program and the year following program graduation is required
