The Hertz Corporation Area Manager Trainee in Etobicoke, Ontario

General Responsibilities

We are seeking MBA graduates or individuals with equivalent experience to jump on the fast track with Hertz's Advanced Management Development Program. Our program's objective is to produce profit-center managers through a customized training program. Upon completion of the program, you will assume a leadership role in an airport or suburban-based Rent-A-Car operation. Previous participants in the Advanced Management Development Program have achieved top executive roles.

You will leverage the knowledge acquired in your MBA program or through your previous work experience and education with a variety of training assignments where no two days are the same! In this multi-faceted role, you will be responsible for a large work group while gaining exposure to management, customer service and sales. You will be exposed to a variety of training including Operations, Sales, Pricing, Fleet Management, Finance and LEAN Six Sigma disciplines.

Our ideal candidate is ambitious, enjoys challenges and is a forward thinker. Your first profit center assignment could be at any Hertz location in Canada.

Mandatory Requirements

  • One to five years' management and sales experience is a plus but not required.

  • The successful candidate must demonstrate assertiveness, initiative, a high energy level, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to effectively handle multiple priorities.

  • This is a development program – eventual promotion to AM is dependent upon individual performance ( something along these lines to temper expectations)

  • My performance evaluation - Minimum performance rating of 3
