Eaton Corporation Industrial Engineer in Euclid, Ohio

Eaton’s Fuel and Motion Control Systems Division of our Aerospace Group is currently seeking an Industrial Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Euclid, Ohio facility.

The Industrial Engineer is responsible to lead Lean manufacturing initiatives, aligned with Eaton Lean Six Sigma (ELSS) methodology including Cost out / Labor optimization, CONC/DPPM reduction and Continuous improvement activities.

  • You will develop sequence of operations and layout ; conduct time & motion studies to promote efficient asset utilization during manufacturing and assembly processes.

  • You will ensure a strong foundation of process Standard Work, implementing best practices, and information sharing across the factory.

  • You will contribute to site Environment Health and Safety (EHS) improvement initiatives by performing activities such as : area Risk Assessments( RA), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Ergonomics Assessment, Safe material handling practices, Safety observation and facilitation of closures.

  • You will evaluate and maintain time standards to develop metrics and maintain scorecards to aid reporting to the leadership team.

  • You will establish costing standards for new product or alternate process routing ( example - labor, machine hours etc.).

  • You will support Manufacturing Engineering function by validating that work standards are up to date and are aligned with our current practices.

  • You will research and propose the practical usage of Advanced manufacturing techniques (Automation – Robotics) ; administer capability studies and run prototypes to verify proof of concept.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Industrial Technology from an accredited institution required.

  • Minimum 2 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Lean manufacturing experience.
