Role Summary

Directs and manages the entire sales process and sets strategy for Beauty Retail customers (such as Ulta, T.J. Maxx and Sally Beauty) and Professional Sales (including salons), oversees compliance to overarching beauty sales channel strategy across CHD, and manages Beauty Sales Leaders.

This is a remote position that will require 30-50% travel depending on your location.

Role Accountabilities And Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership, direction and support to Sales Leaders and broker National Business Managers with regard to executing Strategic Business Unit (SBU) goals and objectives.

  • Helps Beauty Sales Managers build and execute plans that deliver annual sales, monthly/quarterly forecast and profit goals for the SBU.

  • Responsible for overall financial management (Siebel, Trade Spend, Deductions, Slotting, SG&A). Ensures Beauty Sales Team executes plans within trade budget & profit guidelines.

  • Works with Beauty Sales Managers to understand key brand initiatives and collaborates with Director of Marketing on key account opportunities.

  • Uses strong analytics to tease out insights from syndicated and consumption data and applies learnings from other sources to help deliver overall goals.

  • Encourages teams to improve the quality of data and analytics available cross-functionally to continue driving growth as "one-team".

  • Helps Beauty Sales Managers gain distribution in new accounts and develop existing accounts to increase market penetration and deliver overall sales strategies.

  • Builds strong relationships at senior levels in key customers to maximize CHD results. Leads Managers’ development of customer journey map and joint business plans, strategic top-to-top meetings and innovation summits to move customer along a coordinated approach to grow our partnership.

  • Coaches and develops Beauty Sales Managers and helps them identify opportunities to further penetrate accounts and improve customer relationships.

  • Works with cross-functional inside sales team to ensure key account strategies ladder up to overarching beauty sales channel strategy.

  • Is a role model for the “one-team” mindset and coaches other cross-functional team members to do the same.

  • Fully develops unique opportunity to drive revenue with key salon distributors and brand awareness amongst stylist community.

  • Works with team to proactively bring forward customer opportunities to accelerate growth.

  • Constantly on the lookout for new, emerging trends and translates them into concrete growth opportunities for CHD.

  • Seeks continuous incremental improvement of products and processes while keeping an eye on the big disruption opportunities as well.

  • Assess talent of the organization on a regular basis and give feedback when necessary.

  • This position could also oversee and direct a National Sales Agent ensuring all CHD goals and objectives are being executed and accomplished.

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required

  • Must have a minimum 5-7 years of experience within CPG industry (TM, Sales Planning, Field Sales and or Category Management)

  • Must have minimum 3-5 year’s management experience

  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Syndicated Data, Trade Promotion Management

  • Position requires individual to have a thorough understanding of business financials and experience presenting to executive level personnel within their own company; and at top Retailers

  • Must have ability to travel 30-50% depending on location
