This position is accountable for creating the vision and architecture of specific information technology solutions. Working with business partners and analysts, blueprint solutions based on the needs of the business, ensuring systems integration is addressed, outlining maintenance and support needs for the solution, and build shared accountability and transparency.
This architect takes primary responsibility for the SAP FI module, as well as associated systems. A critical area of responsibility is around Accounts Receivable, Deductions Management, Accounts Payable, Financial Closing and Reporting, ensuring that our model supports the global business needs and processes.
Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Works with business partners and IT architects / analysts to understand business needs that require SAP solutions
Design and deliver solutions in the SAP Finance area
Manage the activities of 3rd party support staff in the areas of production support enhancements & small projects
Manage incidents efficiently to minimize business impact and meet service levels, and ensure that root cause and corrective actions are defined and applied.
Hands-on SAP configuration and RICEF documentation for enhancements and projects
Build strong partnerships with business clients to deliver on initiatives.
Education and Experience
BS from an accredited institution in computer science or a finance related field or equivalent work experience required
10-15 (10+) years experience in SAP FICO in both hands on and lead roles
Skills and Competencies
Expertise in SAP FICO and related business processes.
Experience leading SAP finance teams.
Familiarity with good IT practices, including software development lifecycles, testing, and change and release management.
Ability to provide innovative solutions using development tools and processes.
Articulate, confident and fluent communicator.
