Summary of Internship

The Batch Record Creation Internship position provides an opportunity for biological/chemistry students who are currently pursuing a Biology, Chemistry, or associated educational discipline to get hands on experience working with Operations Team in a fast-paced Chemical Production and Quality Assurance environment. The Batch Record Creation intern will contribute to production documentation upgrade project and advance best documentation practices. The position starts in June, paid working 40 hours per week through August. Opportunity exists for this position to continue through the academic year on a part-time basis to allow for class schedules.

Essential Functions

  • Provide process support for product documentation projects including process design and flow

  • Support a variety of documentation upgrade activities and may be assigned to a variety of tasks throughout the Operations Team

  • Be involved with many documentation aspects of quality assurance and some process design and functional analysis tasks

  • Provide feedback on documentation layout, contents, flow and design

  • Learn about documentation and Quality Assurance software through daily activities.

  • Accept candid feedback and look for areas of improvements

  • Specific tasks will be tailored to the interns experience level and abilities

  • A Batch Record Creation intern works under the close supervision of Area management, Team Leads, and Site Management Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a cross-functional team

  • Willingness to learn, be mentored, and improve

  • Desire to contribute and improve design of new and existing scientific documentation

  • Exceptional customer focus

  • Desire to teach other colleagues about technology in area of expertise

  • Familiarity with of least MS Office Suite

  • Aptitude for writing and documenting production process flows Qualifications

  • Student currently enrolled in classes leading to an accredited degree

  • General biology or chemistry or greater science knowledge preferred

  • Process or Industrial Engineering is considered
