CACI International Database Administrator - TS/SCI w/ poly in Fairfax, Virginia
What You’ll Get to Do:
As a Database Administrator with MySQL expertise you will join an agile team located in Ashburn, VA and will work to build a custom software tool for order management and billing in the AWS GovCloud. You will be part of a team engineering the implementation of a new custom build Business Management tool to support a wide area network provider and will define requirements for the project and determine the design for the new system. You will perform integration, testing, and migration of legacy data in order to stand up a new application.
More About This Role:
Designs and builds relational databases (MySQL preferred)
Works in a DevSecOps pipeline in AWS GovCloud
Reviews and develops object and data models
Analyzes mission requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
Designs and development of SQL stored procedures, triggers etc.
Designs and develops database backup/recover procedures.
Consults with engineering staff to evaluate interfaces between existing systems to design effective implementation strategies and dataflow capabilities
Participates with customer teams to develop requirements developments during implementation and working collaboratively with cross functional internal teams such as architects, development, QA, technical documentation, IT, System Admins, Platform Engineers, Lab Support, deployment and customer support groups
TS/SCI w/ poly
BA/BS and a Minimum of 10 years of experience as a DBA with MySQL and Oracle in a Linux environment
Experience supporting both development and production environments
Experience with MySQL database
Experience creating database backup and recovery procedures.
Experience creating disaster recovery environments.
Experience support databases in Linux and AWS infrastructure
Experience in designing data models, schema and tables and data modeling tools
Experience in developing stored procedures, triggers etc.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience working in Agile development methodologies
Knowledge of version control systems – Git preferred
Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent, and a minimum of 5 years of related work experience
Experience working in a telecommunications environment with familiarity of complex IP network hierarchies and Network Inventory
Experience in developing and supporting databases in AWS
Experience with CMDB design and integration, Oracle databases
Experience with Oracle PL/SQL, MySQL and Data Warehouse
Ability to decompose requirements, document design, estimate task durations and meet commitments
Experience with data migration to new applications
DevSecOps experience in AWS environment
Off-the-shelf automation tools (Junit, Selenium)
Atlassian tools – Confluence, JIRA
