Job Description

CACI International Inc. is looking for an Information Technology Deputy Project Manager wth Army Headquarters experience located in Fort Belvoir, VA. A Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 10 years specialized experience is required and experience supporting the Army CIO/G-6 is desired. Additionally, 5 years specialized experience with proven success in Strategy and Portfolio management is a plus as well as Staff Action Officer experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Responsible for the performance of all administrative support functions and associated managerial tasks for the Division. Responsible for liaising with other Directorates and Divisions.

  • Keep Division members aware of the status of projects being managed, including timeframes and document requirements, and key operational issues through formal and informal communications (e.g., status reports, e-mails and updates at meetings)

  • Documents Division level policies, policy changes and guidance to the staff and subordinate offices.

  • Resolve administrative issues by deducing appropriate avenues of inquiry or sources of information.

  • Compose and prepare documentation in accordance with applicable regulations and policies to ensure correct format, spelling, and grammar.

  • Gathers information, verifies facts, summarizes or extracts data from lengthy reports, and arranges material in appropriate form to facilitate use.

  • Brief the Division members prior to meetings/conferences and ensure necessary reference material is provided on matters to be discussed.

  • Act as lead for VTC operations, scheduling and management\

Required Skills:

  • Must Have (Active) Secret Clearance

  • Must Have Army Headquarters experience; CIO/G-6 experience is a plus

  • Expert knowledge of and skills sufficient to perform a wide range of executive, managerial, and administrative support responsibilities and duties as necessary to evaluate and present divergent professional opinion affecting significant policy issues and define and describe feasible options.

  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of agency structure, organizations, programs, missions and functions sufficient to provide support in the planning, development and coordination of the management and administrative activities of the office.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in the preparation, selection, organizations, and presentation of information in a concise and coherent manner.

  • Excellent interpersonal and administrative skills sufficient to meet established and anticipated needs of the organization and to determine the kinds of information required to plan proposed objectives and goals and assure goal attainment.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively express ideas orally and in writing using appropriate language and organizing ideas.


Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent, and a minimum of ten years of related experience in a technical/professional environment.
