Verizon Service Manager in Fort Belvoir, Virginia
What you’ll be doing...
You will manage a diverse team of (5) Field Technicians and Sub Contractors for installing, repairing and maintaining Outside Plant and Inside Plant, copper and fiber services for our customer. Safety, quality issues, workforce performance, feedback and training will also be a focus of your position. You will be leading your team to find ways to improve business results every day.
Lead, motivate develop and coach your field technicians.
Develop action plans to migrate service issues.
Remove barriers and solve problems to help your team be productive.
Provide liaisons between the customer and technicians or contractors that are working for you.
Perform supplemental (I&R) technician duties as necessary.
Responsible for the maintenance of fleet vehicles located at Fort Belvoir.
Responsible for tool inventory.
Prepare monthly status reports for Government meetings.
Requires to be on call rotation and the willingness to work nights and weekends.

You'll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Three or more years of relevant work experience.
Telecommunications experience including installing, maintaining, repairing voice and data, circuits and alarms.
Eligibility to obtain and maintain a government issued security clearance.
Two or more years of supervisory experience.
Valid Driver’s License.
Even better if you have:
Active Government issued Secret clearance.
Understanding of the Fort Belvoir infrastructure, protocol and customers.
Understanding of the NetPlus Program and (FPLL) Full Product Line List used to quote surveys, cost estimates and service orders.
Knowledge of LGS/Nokia OC192, OC12 & DMX Extend background.
