Role Summary:

The Professional Marketing Intern is accountable for the development and implementation of marketing programs in conjunction with the Marketing Associate and Marketing Director, for all aspects of driving professional recommendations, which is a strategic imperative of the brand. Manages projects as assigned to achieve business unit objectives. The position requires close multi-functional collaboration with the Professional Oral Care Sales Organization, Customer Service, R&D, Operations and Finance.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

General Marketing

  • Promotes Waterpik brand and product launches through the dental profession and dental distributors.

  • In conjunction with Marketing Associate and Marketing Director, creates and implements Dental Professional recommendation projects, including Pre-Show Marketing, Collaterals, Brochures, etc. and works with advertising agencies, media companies and other vendors.

  • Tracks dental professional programs including sales, and coupons and rebates.

  • Participates in multiple trade shows throughout the year.

  • Creates, Fields and Presents Dental Professional AAU Study.

  • Works with Digital Marketing to create and implement Dental Professional digital marketing, including digital advertising, social media, and other e-communications where appropriate.

  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading trade publications.

  • Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

  • Educational background in Marketing/Brand Managment

Operating Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

Training and Education Requirements:

  • Excellent track record of educational accomplishment, and additional training in areas of concentration.

Other Qualification and Physical Requirements:

  • Demonstrated success in education

  • Familiarity with common marketing tools and techniques

  • Ability to work independently and lead projects where necessary

  • Ability to work trade shows and make product presentations.

Reporting Relationship: Reports to the Consumer Oral Health Director, Marketing Communications
