Summary: Support Field Sales, Demand Planning and Trade Marketing (Sales Operations) through effective data analysis, category insight development and timely reporting. Analyze and integrate syndicated and internal data into presentation-ready formats that enable Sales to clearly understand and effectively communicate current consumer, trade, channel and category interactions, trends and opportunities. Effectively turn data into actionable information to help Account Managers sell and make customer-level tactical business decisions.
Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Utilize and understand all of the syndicated data and category management tools provided by Water Pik. These include, but may not be limited to AC Nielsen, IRI, Traqline, Adlumina, and Info Scout (Numerator).
Keep current with all changes and upgrades in syndicated data resources and/or with all new category management tools provided by Water Pik.
Develop and maintain an expert knowledge of all products within the corporate business units, as well as the Channels and Retailers who sell these categories.
Actively participate in trade presentation development, providing data and category insights to support each sales proposition.
Develop and maintain category management presentations (Go To Market, Share of Shelf Study & Quarterly Business Review) for all Business unit categories; updating as directed.
Track and report new product introduction status (sales and distribution trends, cannibalization, etc.) to Waterpik management on a timely basis.
Manage the monthly and Quarterly Commission Programs for Retail and Professional Brokers including report generation, management approvals, disbursement to Brokers and the Accounting/Credit functions for payment.
Support Digital Marketing Team in their efforts to add online assortment, pricing and digital content across all key online retailers
Support efforts for New Customer Setups, Master Data Management of new item setups and Sales Contract Renewals for 3rd Party Providers.
Complete weekly and monthly Sales Reports for distribution to Sales Management and Global Sales Team. Manage ad hoc reporting needs for sales, management and marketing upon request.
Manage the retail price survey update process on a regular basis as directed.
Education and Experience
A minimum of 3-5 year’s experience with a consumer products manufacturer.
Must be proficient with Microsoft programs (Excel, Power Point etc.).
Proficient in using, understanding and analyzing data.
Skill to interpret data and translate into actionable activities, reports, presentations and other sales materials.
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of sales and analytical principles acquired through completion of a degree or equivalent work experience
4 year degree (Bachelors) preferred or equivalent work experience.
