Summary:

  • The Network Administrator will support the installation and maintenance of network communications

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:(Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position)

  • Use knowledge of local area and network/wide area systems to install and maintain internal and external networks.

  • Capable to test and evaluate networks systems, troubleshoot networks.

  • Recommend upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment.

  • Implement enterprise information security standards and procedures. Ensures that all information systems are functional and secure.

  • Diagnose data communications problems with using specialized tools, test equipment, and software utilities

  • Analyze hardware and software problems; research and resolve complex issues; and interface with customers, manufacturers, and technical support staff;

  • Conduct network capacity and performance analysis

  • Recommend upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment. Directs and supports activities of the network control function of the organization.

Minimum Qualifications:(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in the area of network specialty

  • 3 years’ experience within the last 5 years

  • Security CE, Network CE, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA): Windows 10 certs, ACAAS cert, eMASS Cert, IA Signal Info assurance fundamentals required

  • IAT II Certification required

  • Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain SCI clearance

  • Excellent written and verbal communications and customer service skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as a team member

  • Ability to work shift work.

  • Ability to obtain SCI clearance

  • Ability to handle controversial situations with tact and diplomacy.

  • Knowledgeable of current network administration requirements, concepts, practices, and procedures in order to support the installation and maintenance of network communications.

  • Knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluation methods and techniques.
