Oracle Business Development Snr Manager - NetSuite - AFA in Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Manages a team that is responsible for identifying relevant new business opportunities and designing "go-to-market" plans to deliver measurable and significant revenues. Consistently meets with potential customers and current customers to build pipeline.

Manages a team of business development representatives for a territory/region. May manage through other managers. The team is actively and frequently customer facing, providing the value proposition to business or org leaders, qualifying opportunities, and selling the value of the oracle solution. Provides daily operations management of lead qualification functions. Participates, as a team member, in strategic and tactical planning for the division. Responsible for coaching, performance management, and career development of staff. Participates in the recruiting process and provides hiring recommendations to senior management. Manages budget. Provides support to marketing and sales programs.

Experience qualifying prospects and customers; understanding of the sales cycle process. Strong leadership skills. Strong Oracle product knowledge preferred. BA/BS preferred. Experience managing staff. Manage and control activities in multi-functional areas of sections. Ensure appropriate operational planning is effectively executed to meet business needs.

NetSuite-Oracle is looking for an experienced leader for the Apparel, Footwear & Accessories (AFA) segment.

As a Segment Leader, you will work collaboratively and cross-functionally to establish and actively drive customer acquisition, project prioritization and overall growth strategies for NetSuite-Oracle s Health & Beauty segment. You will lead your team in driving target market saturation utilizing deep domain expertise that directs thoughtful investment in product, partnerships and services to support our customer s transformation strategies. As an expert in your domain, you will bring best practices to lead change management efforts and provide direction for accelerating innovation across multiple teams, projects and solutions to scale the overall business to profitability and sustainability.

Position Overview and Main Responsibilities:

  • Increases segment effectiveness by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling segment team members

  • Communicating values, strategies, and objectives; assigning accountabilities; monitoring and appraising job results

  • Developing a climate for offering information and opinions; providing educational and growth opportunities.

  • Develops strategic plan by studying technological and financial opportunities; presenting assumptions; recommending objectives.

  • Accomplishes business unit objectives by establishing plans, obtaining budget, and results measurements; allocating resources; reviewing progress; making mid-course corrections.

  • Coordinates efforts by establishing procurement, development, marketing, field, and technical resources and practices; coordinating actions with cross business unit team members.

  • Builds and represents segment image by collaborating with customers, segment and industry organizations and resources.

  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.

  • Not only leads but contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Responsibilities Breakdown:

50/50 Split Direct Sales/Account Management and Opportunity Advancement responsibilities to Segment.

50% Direct Selling & Account Management:

Work with Direct Sales on opportunities related to segment

o Executive Alignment with opportunity executives as the respective leader of the segment.

o Use Domain expertise to help solve solutions within NetSuite.

o In addition to being both a primary and second resource on the team for domain expertise, need to have deep product capabilities to handle more complex or non-standard deals as first chair and have strong product knowledge capabilities.

Work with Account Management to deliver continual customer success

o Executive alignment with Account Management leadership and respective teams and processes

o Identify opportunities for adding greater value applicable to customer s business strategies

o Drive overall customer satisfaction, additional product adoption and ultimately subscription renewals

50% Segment Leader & Customer Success:

o Provide customer guidance around the overall cloud business strategy and transformation

o Build executive relationships and establish proactive success plans

Competencies & Skills:

Extensive knowledge of the AFA environment

Excellent understanding of commerce, cloud, information technologies, financial management, risk management, procurement and general business processes

Ability to provide thought leadership efforts and resources

Comfortability with supporting sales leaders in specific sales pursuits

Experience working across different cultures and nationalities.

Solid leadership and people management skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Qualifications:

5 years experience in AFA leadership roles

Bachelor s Degree in finance, commerce, business, management, information technology or related track

Experience in large scale, high risk, strategic projects, program scope, department P&L, and business value realization

Management experience of medium to large cross-functional teams with the ability to lead, grow and develop junior employees

Proven track record of managing executive/C-level client relationships

Preferred:

7 years experience in AFA leadership roles

Master s Degree in finance, commerce, business, management, information technology or related track

NetSuite experience a plus
