Summary: TheComputer Systems Analyst I – Database Administrator implements and optimizes the computerized database systems that support the Company's or client's ability to function on a daily basis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Implement and maintain smooth operation and physical design of databases.
Conduct performance tuning of indexes and databases in general.
Review database design and integration of systems, provide backup recovery and make recommendations regarding enhancements and/or improvements.
Maintain security and integrity controls.
Formulate policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management, and monitors transaction activity and utilization.
May develop stored procedures and/or triggers.
Administer a variety of database systems, such as Microsoft SQL Server, and other Database Management Systems (DBMS).
Develop and enforce database administration and user standards and procedures
Audit, modify, and amend data in systems using SQL commands.
Oversee the scheduling of database projects, database and transaction log backups, notifications, and database replication between multiple SQL Servers and remote sites.
Assist Database Designers/Information System Analysts in the development and creation of SQL and Web-based databases and database systems.
Review technical designs, reports, documentation, and other materials produced by staff
Create and maintain high-level reporting systems using products such as Crystal Reports
Research and implement new database and online technology.
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
5+ years’ of experience with Computer Systems Analyst I – Database Administrator to include, but not limited to the following:
Experience planning, designing, developing and administering Microsoft database systems (SQL Server, Access), including base definition, structure, documentation, requirements, operational guidelines and protection.
Experience developing data models and planning of architecture, functions, modules, recovery, standards and implementation.
Experience facilitating the automation of business processes by creating databases and database applications.
Experience testing designed applications and web data connections.
Experience with developing software using object oriented programming
Experience participating in most aspects/phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Experience with administering SharePoint sites, including permissions, structure and content is a plus.
Experience in building ASP.Net (C# preferred) data-driven websites and web applications.
Extensive proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
Experience creating and modifying documentation for technical processes and procedures.
Must have the following Certification:
Security+CE (Baseline IA) MCSA SQL Server (CE Certification).
Secret Clearance with a T3 Investigation required.
