Job Title: Government and Public Services (GPS) Security Specialist
Location: AnnapolisJunction, MD
The candidate will support Deloitte's compliance with the NationalIndustrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Intelligence Community Directives(ICD s) and other government and firm security policies and procedures.
The qualified candidate is an experienced security professionalwithin the GPS Security office. The primary responsibilities are to perform standardand specialized personnel security (PerSec) processing and SensitiveCompartmented Information Facility (SCIF) operational duties in support ofNISP-related classified, Intelligence Community, and Controlled UnclassifiedInformation/agency sensitive (CUI-Public Trust) programs.
The individual will perform timely and accurate operational andcompliance support, facilitate processing of Personnel Security clearance actionsas required throughout the personnel security life-cycle including Special/SCIaccess processing,NISPpersonnel clearance and Public Trust suitabilityprocessing. The position offers an opportunity to apply industrialsecurity and Public Trust suitability personnel processing procedures within a teamenvironment and continue to build a career in the Federal Security professionwith exposure to all security disciplines.
The position will require application of regulatory knowledge and experiencegoverned by the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM),Director of Central Intelligence Directives/Intelligence Community Directives (DCID/ICD),and agency-specific Public Trust suitability regulations and programs.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) access control
Badge Systems management, creating badges, auditing and maintaining access control logs
Initiate, prepare, and submit required personnel security applications (initials, upgrades and periodic reinvestigations) for access to National Security Information and Intelligence Community programs to include eQIP,SF86, SF85P and other agency required paperwork
Support GPS Security personnel security mission to include daily database entries, including but not limited to: status checks in JPAS, monitoring and queries associated with ensuring our cleared personnel databases are in sync with current employee status, notifications to newly cleared personnel, maintaining updated personnel security and suitability records, outgoing clearance certifications for classified visits, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records within internal database
Act as the quality control specialist for personnel security paperwork, ensuring all packages are accurately completed and ensuring any required/associated documentation is included. When workload demands, also initiate, prepare and submit required personnel security applications (initial and periodic reinvestigations) for access to National Security Information/Intel/Special Access Programs.
Manage workload and cases. Develop relationships and conduct ongoing follow-up/communication with engagement teams and government points of contact.
Prepare and complete visit authorization letters (VALs, PermCerts) for classified visit requests, and reciprocity letters
Support the requirements for client badging/onboarding processes
Assist with other GPS Security missions/actions and projects, as directed and required
In-Scope Top Secret/SCI personnel security clearance with Polygraph
Associate s degree and/or professional security certification (DSS FSO, SPeD level 1, or NCMS ISP)
1-3 years of Federal Security operational and or Personnel Security processing experience with a US intelligence agency
Professional, customer-centered attitude, executive demeanor
Discrete, with ability to properly handle and protect highly sensitive personnel/security data
Strong computer skills - MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet, familiarity with security database operations
Knowledge of government databases including the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS), Scattered Castles and eQIP
Knowledge of National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (DoD 5220-22.M)

Additional Desired Skills:
Bachelor s degree preferred
Existing TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
Familiarity with Access Commander database software is a plus
Familiarity with SWFT and electronic fingerprinting is a plus
Awareness/knowledge of public trust suitability policy and processes
Primary office will be located in Annapolis Junction, MD
Local travel required.
