The Systems Administrator Senior will be responsible for performing routine, preventative, and on demand crisis operations and maintenance support for deployed and deployable information systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide Tier 1 and 2 support for worldwide Deployers utilizing production and no production equipment.

  • Perform system backups and recovery.

  • Perform Site Surveys

  • Manage, monitor, and sustain systems.

  • Repair and install hardware on production, admin and peripheral equipment.

  • Assist end users with hardware and account issues; excellent customer relations skills are a must.

  • Provide hardening and configuration support of systems in compliance with Cybercom security standards.

  • Install, upgrade, configure and maintain Unix/Windows workstations and servers.

  • Monitor and tune the system to achieve optimum level of performance.

  • Maintain data files and monitor system configuration to ensure data integrity.

  • Install new software releases and system upgrades, to evaluate and install patches, and to resolve software related problems.

  • Resolve a wide range of system issues, troubleshooting software, hardware, and network issues, and addressing trouble tickets and service tasks.

  • Assist with achieving optimum performance and availability standards through implementing appropriate technical solutions.

  • Schedule and conduct routine and emergency maintenance activities of deployable equipment.

  • Build appropriate hardware and deploy based upon customer requirements.

  • Maintain operational, configuration management documentation, and other standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  • Participate in the troubleshooting of system issues internally and coordinate efforts with third party providers and other operational support entities.

  • Interpret and discuss information which involves terminology or concepts not familiar to many.

  • Communicate/coordinate scheduled PM windows without potentially impacting customers.

  • Provide advice and recommend actions involving complex issues.

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • Bachelor's Degree required.

  • 9 years of relevant work experience required. Experience to include:

  • Experience in the imagery intelligence domain.

  • Experience with Windows system administration.

Microsoft Windows 7 or Windows 10 certification.

CompTIA Security CE or Equivalent DoD 8570 Certification

  • TS/SCI require; must be able to pass CI polygraph within 6 months.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to operate independently to perform system administration, configuration management, and technical coordination functions.

  • Proficient with deployable hardware configuration baselines.

  • Ability to travel for surge/crisis support.

  • Ability to obtain a Class B CDL and its associated requirements.

  • Ability to travel within 48 hours of notification to enable analysts to build, print, and share collaborative products.

  • Must have general knowledge of network administration and possess network configuration management skills.

  • Candidate must have ability to work shift work, travel frequently, and respond to after hour calls.

  • Able and willing to travel to contingent locations in support of customer's mission.

  • In depth knowledge of secure Domains, HBSS, SCCM, GPO management, Imaging, Active Directory Administration, Remedy, NGA's imagery holdings, production applications, and exploitation Deployable Systems.

  • Ability to work independently and in a group environment.

  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
