Data Management and Insights (DMI) is transforming the way that Wells Fargo uses and manages data. Our work enables Wells Fargo to empower and inform our team members, deliver exceptional experiences for our customers, and meet the elevated expectations of our regulators. The team is responsible for designing the future data environment, defining data governance and oversight, and partnering with technology to operate the data infrastructure for the company. This team also provides next generation analytic insights to drive business strategies and help meet our commitment to satisfy our customers’ financial needs.

The Data Management Solutions Services (DMSs) team within Data Management & Insights (DMI) is a new and growing organization. The team’s mission is to enable enterprise data governance capabilities, such as metadata management, data control and quality, stewardship management, etc. The team manages these capabilities in alignment with the enterprise data strategy, technology architecture, policies, and other data governance needs across the Wells Fargo enterprise.

This role will report to the Metadata Quality Assurance (QA)/Quality Control (QC) Manager within Data Management Solution Services. The Metadata QA/QC analyst will perform testing and remediation of enterprise metadata documentation to ensure it meets Enterprise Data Governance policy quality and standard requirements. This analyst will perform QA and QC on data dictionaries, provide metadata quality metrics, and manage timelines for the data dictionary deliverables. This analyst will also work with enterprise metadata tools (Collibra & Ab Initio) to fulfill daily functional requirements and partner with Delivery Solutions and Business Capability Requirements teams to provide input to align processes to maturity of tools and vice versa.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Perform QA checks of production data dictionaries in timely manner to ensure project timelines are met

  • Coordinate with Metadata Delivery Solutions team members to ensure QA involvement throughout metadata collection process

  • Perform QC checks on previously published data dictionaries to ensure ongoing compliance with evolving metadata quality standards

  • Drive development and implementation of projects to enhance existing processes

  • Contribute to development of requirements for strategic metadata capabilities

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: data management, data governance, data quality or data analysis

  • 1+ year of quality assurance experience

  • 2+ years of process definition and documentation experience

  • 2+ years of experience with data analysis and documentation

  • 1+ years of experience creating pivot tables and performing data analysis in Excel

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills
