A Strategic Customer Support Representative-Pump and Power serves as the first point of contact for many of our customers, whose purpose is to understand the customers’ needs, provide equipment solutions, negotiate and close the deal (rental or sale) and process the customer’s contract. The primary goal of this position is to maximize sales revenue, exceed the expectations of our customers by providing exceptional customer service. Success will be measured by your ability to help support the achievement of the business goals. You share accountability, and play an integral role in driving sales, ensuring positive customer experience, achieving operational excellence and maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Learns all technical aspects of equipment, function and appropriate applications to be able to effectively sell Pump and Power products and services.

  • Supports large scale assigned accounts by serving as the Single Point of Contact for the customer and customizing turn key solutions for their unique needs.

  • Supports the after-hours mission critical program, serving as the liaison for key strategic national customers

  • Offers direct customer Accounts Receivables Support by investigating discrepancies, invoice correction, rebilling, and working toward a mutually agreed upon solution

  • Presents large project support assistance by aiding the customer on all projects, start to finish. This includes addressing equipment needs, project quoting and negotiation, proposal submission, as well as partnering with local PCs for dispatch timelines along with point of contact identification.

  • Serves The Emergency Response Team by addressing natural disaster event needs, including contract writing, freight & fuel management, as well as post-event invoice auditing

  • Serves as the Single Point of Contact for specialty product requests, including load bank, ground protection and generator support. Provides assistance in choosing the appropriate equipment, as well as any needed technical support.

  • Works with third-party vendors in supplying customers with outside freight, fueling services and electrical contractors.

  • Initiates new accounts for various customers by setting up primary, as well as secondary accounts and appropriately meeting all needs.

  • Close sales from inbound inquires and perform outbound telemarketing calls to potential customers by marketing company product lines, and offering value-added services.

  • Determine/understand customer equipment needs through qualifying and needs assessment.

  • Working in a consultative role, provide tailored solutions to meet unique requirements of the customers by presenting key selling points, features and benefits.

  • Provide customers with expert advice on equipment selections, operation and maintenance.

  • Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts with customers for the sale or rental of Pump and Power products/services and closes the deal.

  • Persuasively up-selling ancillary drivers by recognizing opportunities and explaining benefits.

  • Secure equipment by checking availability; communicates effectively with the "owning" Profit Center and schedules delivery and pick up of equipment.

  • Process reservations/orders, administer rental contracts, including on and off rental dates and contract terminations with accuracy and detail.

  • Handle customer complaints in a professional manner by resolving problems by clarifying issues; researching and exploring answers and alternative solutions; implementing solutions to the satisfaction of the customer.

  • Complete all NRA transactions including locating equipment, creating rental contracts, setting up delivery of equipment, and updating the portals for each job.

  • Will be required to be on call at least 1 week per month for after hour service and NRA transactions.

  • Complete all sales invoices.

  • Learn and understand Key service related issues with our equipment so you are able to respond to customers' needs by being able to offer trouble shooting solutions over the phone.

  • Follow up on all Hot Quote and Denso leads.

Education & Experience:

  • Two (2+) years of experience in a customer service role

  • Strong sales skills and customer service focused

  • Computer proficiency with MS applications. Wynne experience a plus.

Physical Demands:Must be able to bend, squat, crouch and/or reach and lift up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the job. Some Sunbelt jobs may require driving for long periods of time, loading and unloading heavy equipment, performing work in extreme weather conditions including rain, wind or excessive temperatures and/or night and weekend work.
