  • The Tools & Parts Attendant will receive, store, and issue hand tools, machine tools, dies, and equipment, such as measuring devices.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Keeps records of tools issued to and returned by workers.

  • Prepares periodic inventory or keep perpetual inventory and requisition stock as needed.

  • Maintains Bench Stock and Shop Stock in accordance with current directives.

  • Unpacks and stores new equipment.

  • Visually inspects tools or measures with micrometer for wear or defects and reports damaged or worn-out equipment to superiors.

  • May be required to work an uncommon tour of duty including nights, week-ends, and holidays.

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications : (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • High School graduate or equivalent ;

  • Minimum of one (1) year in general vehicle maintenance or parts counter worker;

  • Must possess and maintain a current Oklahoma Driver’s License;

  • Must be able to pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) for computer access;

  • Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A) experience is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Computer experience with MS Excel, MS Word and MS Email experience desired.

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

  • The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.

  • During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
