  • The TMP Operations Supervisor supervises bus drivers and training of bus drivers daily.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the TMP personnel with highest emphasis on the driver pool to ensure all requirements are accomplished in a timely and productive manner.

  • Be familiar with driving schedules so as to be cognizant of route departure/arrival times.

  • Periodically inspect TMP vehicles to ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance is being accomplished.

  • Educate all TMP drivers as to their responsibilities while operating a GSA vehicle.

  • Periodically inspect all GSA vehicles for incident/accident damages; assisting customers and TMP personnel in the preparation of vehicle work orders and determining type and sources of service required;monitoring status of vehicles at service/repair vendors.

  • Direct dispatchers on coordination of manufacturer recall notices between customers and servicing vendors.

  • Direct employees to pressure check tires, check and maintain fuel levels.

  • Perform driver check rides. Educate drivers to correct driving procedures.

  • Counsel drivers and maintain on going check rides.

  • Responsible for ensuring that scheduling, dispatching, maintaining vehicles; movement of passengers and cargo, driver qualifications, receiving and issuing vehicle, and maintaining and providing accurate equipment records are all performed in accordance with applicable regulation and SOPs.

  • Assist the Transportation Motor Pool Supervisor in all assigned duties.

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • High School graduate or equivalent.

  • A minimum of five (5) years experience in transportation and/or vehicle operations is preferred.

  • Minimum of one (1) year computer experience.

  • Must be able to pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) for computer access.

  • Must possess and continuously maintain a current valid driver’s license.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience in the transportation field.

  • Maintain currency in regard to technological developments, particularly in equipment, facilities, and safety in Federal, State, and local laws and regulations concerning vehicle operations.

  • Possess leadership skills related to decision-making and job accomplishment.

  • Extensive interaction with the customer and TMP personnel is required

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

  • The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.

  • During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
