Controller - Medical City Fort Worth
Under the supervision of the Chief Executive Officer, or designee, performs professional supportive Accounting Functions in a manner consistent with the mission and goals of the organization. * Prepares and maintains departmental operational and capital budget. * Supervises areas of accounting. * Provides analysis of hospital income, expenditures and capital asset values with comparison to previous periods. * Makes recommendations concerning methods of reducing operating costs and increasing income. * Maintains integrity of accounting system, in accordance with GAAP, to provide complete and accurate records of hospital assets, liabilities and financial transactions. * Responsible for annual budget preparation, maintaining internal audit requirements, producing and presenting financial reports for administration, regulatory agencies and third party payers. * Oversees supportive personnel and assigned functions/areas as directed. * Accepts accountability and responsibility as a member of the Accounting Department. * Functions effectively as a multi-disciplinary team member. * Promotes personal growth and professionalism in the work environment. * Demonstrates desirable work habits. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Education and Training Experience Required * Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College with an emphasis in Accounting. * 2-4 years hospital experience. * Supervisory experience. CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE: Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * CPA preferred
