Channel Sales Leader – Technology & Cloud Systems, Germany
An exciting opportunity exists to lead a team of Channel Sales Reps/Managers within an established, global organization whose Cloud solutions are entering a period of hyper-growth. To support this growth in EMEA, Oracle is building a world-class channel sales team to work with and through Oracle’s Partners. This German Leader will also be part of the Country Leadership team and other Country Boards.
We are looking for a strong, dynamic leader with a pre-existing network of customers and partners in the German Cloud Technology market.
Strong alliances with partners, distributors, global and regional systems integrators are a vital element of our cloud strategy and are essential for helping us deliver value and customer success to our mutual clients.
Our focus in the year ahead is to build an industry leading channel business for Oracle’s technology portfolio which includes our IaaS and PaaS offerings, hybrid and on premise software and our award winning engineered systems. This exciting leadership role is key to that success.
The candidate will head up Channel sales team for all cloud technology and cloud systems business for the German market; be part of the country leadership team working closely with the German Country leader and Senior country management team to drive the German business and team success.
Building, leading, mentoring, motivating and managing a sales team
Strong knowledge of the German Cloud Technology market
Managing and achieving sales targets
Strong Management & Motivation skills to build and drive a strong performing team
Strong Leadership, Persuasion, Change Management, Negotiation and Presentation Skills
Building, driving monitoring and executing a business plan
Strong pre-existing relationships with Top Sis, VARs in the German market
Management of VARs, VADs and partner network at highest executive levels
Strong forecasting, deal management, deal closing and opportunity engagement
Business development, Pipe generation and management
Working in a prime sales environment
We are looking for a very experienced and dynamic sales leader who will set up and lead a focussed and winning sales team with high level of sales and negotiating skills, drive, energy and execution skills.
15 years Proven sales and channel sales management experience in direct or channel environment, of which 10yrs in management
Facilitates and monitors the development of strategic marketing and new business plans for all partners to meet or exceed assigned business goals. Works with Partners to identify opportunities and create demand through lead generation activities and target account selling strategies. Actively track joint sales pipeline and meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets. Develop and maintain relationships with country and regional counterparts to leverage corporate initiatives and to ensure adherence to Alliances & Channel standards.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Develops third party sales channel and ensures partner achieve Oracle sales targets in the General Business space. Manages a staff of managers within a geographic territory.
As part of the Oracle sales team you will direct and manage area channel sales throughout the sales cycle. Develops and implements a comprehensive strategy that maximizes Oracle's revenue across all products and product lines with Oracle partners. Responsible for the indirect revenue from these partners. Manages the identification and development of channel partners committed to selling Oracle products. Manage the facilitation of joint selling between channel partners and direct sales team. Maintains an understanding of Oracle technology and articulates Oracle propositions to partners and their customers. Provides accurate and timely management information and revenue forecasts to senior management. May participate in account planning and strategy development.
Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations is important. Knowledge of software industry relating to channel management. Knowledge of partners in assigned territory. Demonstrated leadership skills. Strong presentation skills. Ability to travel as needed. BA/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.
