GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: TheCase Management/Clinical Documentation Improvement Project Directoris responsible for organization, project and program management, monitoring of the successful development, and implementation of all project controls for projects and programs as assigned. The position requires solid communication skills to lead project teams, as well as to interface with other departments (including IT&S), business partners, and leadership. This individual will be responsible for gathering requirements for business and functional needs throughout the Case Management organization. The Project Director must be results-oriented with a strong commitment to project execution. This individual must be able to effectively develop and manage relationships within the department and facilitate project management integration to address strategic business needs across the Case Management organization. The Project Director must possess strategic vision, excellent communication skills, proven facilitation skills, proven motivational capabilities, have an executive presence, and a demonstrated track record of delivering results and attaining goals.

SUPERVISOR: PI and Case Management Assistant Vice President Project Management or Case Management Program Director

MATRIX RELATIONSHIPS: Case Management VPs and AVPs

DUTIES include but are not limited to: • Supports the Case Mgmt/CDI Program Director in the development of the annual project management strategic plan for the Case Mgmt organization. • Executes the Case Mgmt/CDI project management strategic plan. • Contributes to the biweekly Case Mgmt portfolio status reports. • Assists with managing project management staff, including: hiring, staffing, evaluating, and coaching, when assigned. • Reviews and approves project management time in project management system (Perview), when assigned. • Develops and manages project scope, budgets, timelines, resources and quality of deliverables. • Collaborates with key stakeholders to champion change throughout the organization, incorporating lessons learned into future projects to ensure desired results. • Creates strategic project documents such as Project or Program Charters, Assessments, Education and/or Communication plans, detailed project plans, and provides project updates to business owners and leaders at multiple levels within the Case Management organization. • Proactively identifies and resolves project issues; manages project/program deliverables and mitigates project risks. • Coordinates, facilitates and manages Rapid Design Sessions within the Case Mgmt organization with up to 100 attendees. • Elicits requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis. • Critically evaluates information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs. • Drives and challenges project stakeholders on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans. • Performs business process modeling to improve process efficiency and quality. • Works with Program Director to adjust Case Management project management strategies to respond to changing business needs. • Prioritizes Case Mgmt project management work based upon the needs of the business and in accordance and alignment with CASE MANAGEMENT organization strategy. • Proactively manages the deliverables and change management processes for assigned projects. • Builds and maintains strong, effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders throughout the Case Mgmt organization. • Applies standardization and consistency across projects. • Communicates timely and effectively in a matrix environment. • Facilitates decision-making that is required for progress on projects/programs. • Develops a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality. • Practices and adheres to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement”.

EDUCATION: • Bachelor's Degree Required

QUALIFICATIONS: • Minimum 7 years professional experience required • 4-6 years relevant project management experience managing multiple projects to completion, preferably in healthcare operations or systems-oriented environments • Excellent facilitation skills required • Experience with large-scale system implementations preferred • HCA and HCA-based systems knowledge preferred • PMP Certification preferred • Executive level interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a highly matrix environment is a must • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal • Nashville based, up to 20% travel required
