Manager, Security Awareness

The Manager, Security Awareness has the global responsibility for leading the Corporate Information Security (CIS) Program’s numerous initiatives related to colleague security awareness and communication. This person will lead a team of experienced security education and training professionals in driving several high-profile global initiatives associated with Cybersecurity.

Key functions:

Security Awareness: Elevate the existing security awareness efforts to an enterprise grade program

  • Develop an effective and efficient program that educates all colleagues on the risks of cyber threats and aids them in being more “security-minded” in their daily lives both at home and at work

  • Educate and test employees by various means both at the all company level and individually where appropriate (high risk areas)

  • Work closely with Human Resources and other applicable functions to reward/recognize good behavior and implement sanctions where appropriate to reduce risk to company

  • Ensure training program is well aligned to the company Learning Management system (LMS) and insightful metrics and recommendations are provided regularly to leadership

Cybersecurity Outreach: Build a solid mechanism to share Cybersecurity content with audiences of all types

  • Develop and maintain CIS Communications matrix that outlines the type of communication (security incidents, project related, security awareness & education), the audience (senior leadership, IT leadership, all employees, IT personnel, etc.), and the means or vehicle communications are delivered (email, Yammer, posters, text, video, etc.)

  • Work closely with CIS leadership on key powerpoints (monthly, quarterly, etc.) to ensure consistent messaging, format, and content

  • Manage & monitor CIS’s social networking sites including Yammer, iConnect

  • Develop and implement new creative solutions for efficient and effective communication of CIS Programs

  • Liason with corporate and IT communication teams and ensure standardized processes and timelines are executed to deliver communications on schedule

  • Provide metrics around communication effectiveness and drive continuous improvement in CIS outreach efforts

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Masters and/or bachelor’s degree in information assurance, security, journalism, marketing, advertising, or communication

  • Information systems, risk management or equivalent work experience acceptable

  • 3-5 years of related experience in communications or journalism is a plus

  • Key enterprise experience with security awareness, education, program development, security professional leadership, journalistic content creation and curation, and marketing

  • Must have ability to develop solid and positive professional relationships with senior leadership, subordinates and peers in a heavily matrixed environment

  • Strong interpersonal and excellent communication and writing skills

  • Excellent customer service skills required

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
