Job Description

How You Will Make an Impact:

The Software Developer is responsible for creating and maintaining software components that continuously improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Corporate Information Security organization. The position is responsible for the development of custom solutions that leverage enterprise security product APIs, corporate information and incident management systems , as well as collaboration and reporting systems to ingest, transform, exchange, enrich, and report on security-related data and/or automate security-related processes and procedures.

What You Will Do:

  • Maintain and enhance existing integration and automation software components

  • Develop, perform quality assurance, package and deploy software distributions in both a development and production environment

  • Create and maintain documentation in conformance with established standards

  • Gather and analyze data to establish system/solution requirements

  • Participate in team planning sessions

  • Perform other duties as assigned

How You Will Get Here:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems. Relevant technical certificates or equivalent work experience acceptable

  • 4+ years of software development using a modern programming language such as Python, Java or JavaScript in an Agile environment

  • Ability to derive and refine project requirements based on customer input

  • Strong interpersonal and excellent documentation skills are a must

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group end-users, subject matter experts, managers and executives

Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and debug software

  • Solid understanding of software version control and release management

  • Interacting with software endpoints using HTTP, REST, SOAP, or similar

  • Solid understanding of compute, network and storage infrastructure components

  • Familiarity with databases (Postgres, MySQL, MS SQL) and SQL language

  • Strong attention to detail, and organizational skills

  • Jira/Confluence

  • Splunk development

  • ServiceNow

  • AWS
