Position Title MCSC Vehicle Configuration Management Specialist

AECOM is seeking a Configuration Manager to provide support to Marine Corps Systems Command, Program Manager, Medium and Heavy Tactical Vehicles (PM MHTV). Position is located at Fredericksburg, VA.
The candidate will perform as technical expert in specific Configuration Management (CM) tasks and apply knowledge of policies and procedures relevant to CM. Responsibilities will include maintaining records, executing data entry in automated databases, verifying information, generating reports, and resolving routine problems. Specific duties may be in one or more of the following areas:
Duties may consist of preparing reviews of Change Proposals; assisting or training others in CM processes or in use of the CM database; establishing and maintaining a filing system, databases and logs as needed for tracking project status and inventory; consolidating CM data prior to Configuration Control Boards; maintaining automated database user accounts and privilege requests; documenting requirements for implementing software, firmware, and hardware change requests and associated review and statusing in automated databases. The candidate may also perform analysis and requirements validation for electronic interface between automated databases; design, development, and maintain additional task-level configuration and data management database systems.
Position may require travel.
Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Information Systems or related field and at least 5 years of job-related experience or equivalent.
Requires working knowledge of CM and Configuration Status Accounting and change control processes. Must be familiar with database entry and maintenance, preferably in Microsoft Access and/or CMPro.
Must have strong verbal and interpersonal skills as daily interaction with government customers will be required. Selected candidate must be a self-starter and able to work well independently, with minimal supervision and broad direction.
Position requires ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
Experience with CMPro, Windchill, and/or MS Access. Prior experience as a CM Specialist and/or relevant military training highly desired. Experience with CM of tactical vehicles highly desired, to include an understanding of the Engineering Change Proposal and Modification processes. An understanding of military systems acquisition and fielding processes desired. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and integrated software applications is desired. Working knowledge of the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) Capability Maturity Model (CMM) as it relates to configuration management is desired.
