IBM Release Manger - Security Intelligence in FREDERICTON, New Brunswick

Job Description

The IBM Security Systems division is seeking an experienced program/release manager. The program/release manager will be responsible for planning and driving successful project and program execution. For coordinating the management of Security Intelligence projects through all stages of the development life-cycle by following the necessary business and development processes and must also enable effective change and realisation of projected benefits. This is a high profile job in a driven environment.

Candidate must be able to handle multiple tasks concurrently and manage multiple active projects. Tasks include day to day project management activities including release level project planning, tracking project-level tasks and dependencies, identifying and mitigating risks, communication of project status, issue logging and follow-up, facilitating project meetings, driving quality reviews, OBP (Offering Business Plan) preparation, and ensuring the project is audit ready. The individual must have experience with the Agile development model.

The project/release manager will work closely with Management, Product Owners, the DET (Decision Execution Team) Lead, and the leads of Performance, ID (Information Development), Globalization, IBM Legal, etc.

This individual should possess demonstrated organization skills, be self-motivated, demonstrate creativity, initiative, productivity and resiliency, and be able to work with diverse teams and facilitate effective communication.

Additional skills include understanding IBM's business processes, experience with Rational tools such as RTC (Rational Team Concert), and should be willing to actively pursue project management certification. Transformation/Transition project experience are a distinct advantage

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • English Fluent (Verbal and Written)

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field

  • At least 10 years industry experience

  • At least 7 years working in an agile environment

  • At least 7 years experience in successfully managing complex projects

  • Readiness to travel 10% travel annually

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Project Management Certification desirable
