Perform maintenance check on rental equipment before and after use for; damage, hours used, electrical ground testing, hoist & welder certifications, air/pneumatic tool repair, hoist load tests, and safety compliance:
Report machine condition to Shop Foreman/Service Manager for appropriate billing of customer
Load and unload equipment while complying with DOT regulations for height, width and weight
Clean all tools and prepare new equipment for rent or sale
Checkout, familiarize and demonstrate tools for customers
Perform, in a safe manner, with supervision, minor repairs of rental tools including electrical, calibration, certification, and tagging of tools for rental ready status:
Provide assistance to higher level technicians as needed
Assist with pick up and delivery of equipment and parts to and from outside vendors and other locations for purchase and/or repair
To be qualified, all applicants must be familiar with electric testing equipment. Knowledge of OSHA safe working practices is recommended. Strong verbal and written communication skills and basic computer knowledge are also valued in this role.
