In this dynamic change agent role, you will be assessing the current state, and driving toward a future state of excellence, by creating and driving strategies that are impactful, and robust, in a complex, and matrix environment!

What You Will Do

  • In this expansive career opportunity, you will have the opportunity to assess the current state of the sourcing and procurement organization, in terms of how we manage, and interact with suppliers and manage our supply base, and create proposed strategies for change.

  • Create a future state strategy to transition from a decentralized, to centralized function, and leverage capabilities toward a state of sourcing and procurement excellence.

  • Build, lead, and leverage teams to support the vision toward sourcing and procurement excellence.

  • Assess, and create recommendations for improved processes, aligned with overall objectives.

  • Assume ownership of the sourcing and procurement function, and category management ensuring division commitments & metrics (ROI, etc.) are both met, and presented to multiple levels of leadership, and audiences.

  • Act as the key division interface with Thermo Fisher Corporate Global Sourcing Team, ensuring alignment. of strategies, processes, and divisional goals to drive high return on investment.

  • Partner with Quality to drive continuous improvement.

  • Partner with Global Sourcing Teams on supplier risk and mitigation plans for risk.

  • Manage Supplier Performance Management process.

How You Will Get Here:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or Supply Chain (MBA preferred)

  • CPM or CPSM Certification (preferred)

  • 10+ years of experience in operations, leading a global team in a purchasing, sourcing or procurement role

  • Experience as an agent of change, for a large scale company transformation

  • Strong negotiating, influencing, rationalization, and persuasion skills
