Position Summary:

This position is responsible for helping resolve immediate manufacturing issues, gain technical knowledge of and hands-on experience in all product lines, and assist in streamlining and improving manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independent technical support for various methods and decision making for procedures and processes requiring evaluation and judgment

  • Perform complex manufacturing process, immunoassay optimization and testing procedures on non-routine production work using a variety of equipment and instrumentation

  • Prepare written procedures with increased complexity

  • Ability to multi-task and take initiatives as required

  • Lead and present technical discussions in front of crossfunctional teams

  • Lead and teach others with good understanding of overall quality system and processes

  • Lead and complete projects as required

  • Participate on core teams as required

  • Demonstrate good flexibility with changes to working environment and deliver high quality results

  • Communicate to peers and management in a timely fashion

  • Design, plan and execute experiments as required by department needs such as validation, product troubleshooting, audit responses, etc.

  • Compile, analyze, present data, and compose reports as required

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

• BS/MS in a scientific discipline with 5-10 years diagnostic industry experience

• Demonstrated ability for technical proficiency, scientific creativity, problem solving skills, collaboration with other

departments, and ability to manage multiple projects or assignments.

• Ability to present and communicate (oral and written) information in a clear manner.

• Computer skills such as Word and Excel.

• Experience in preparing manufacturing documents including SOPs, specification sheets and worksheets.

• Experience in manufacturing, product transfer or product support functions.
