This is an exciting opportunity for Systems Engineer - Senior #MN167 in Fridley, Minnesota
Your impact will happen in these and other ways:
Develop and maintain subsystems and electrical components level requirements.
Develop subsystem and component verification and validation plans, installation guidelines and quality assurance requirements applying specialized knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
Investigate product problems, evaluate causal mechanisms and recommend appropriate action.
Work in business processes of PPT, VPI or CPS and execute technical processes including Engineering Standard Work (ESW), Integrated Design Failure modes and effects analysis (iDFMEA), and FIRG while utilizing 7-step problem solving, design review checklist and other specialized tools required to support the processes and enable high quality decision making.
Obtain input from stakeholders including technical managers, project leaders, manufacturing engineers and supplier partners to deliver information and recommendations that lead to quality product decisions.
Utilize knowledge of electrical Systems Definition and Design to execute established work processes and systems development while still developing technology or product knowledge.
Utilize knowledge of System Capability Engineering to negotiate and verify requirements against capability to guide project scope and system, assess legacy system versus proposed new system solution capabilities and make decisions on how best to achieve system capability with consideration of stakeholder trade-offs.
Identify and analyze interfaces and interactions across system boundaries by specifying the requirements and limits to ensure the product meets requirements using knowledge of Product Interface Management and Integration.
Translate the value package requirements and integrate into virtual designs, communicating the capability of the design through an approved cross-functional design review.
Translate stakeholder needs into verifiable requirements to which designs are developed, establish acceptance criteria for the specific system through analysis, allocation and negotiation, and track the status of requirements throughout the system lifecycle.
Utilize Product Failure Mode Avoidance to mitigate potential product failure modes by identifying interfaces, functions, functional requirements, interactions, control factors, noise factors, and prioritize potential failure modes causes for electrical system to effectively and efficiently improve the reliability of products.
Utilize knowledge of Modeling, Simulation, Coding and Automation for designing new components, manage component interfaces and lead configuration management.

Required Education, Licenses or Certifications
Positions require aMaster’s degree in Electrical or Systems Engineering, or related fieldand2 years of experience as a Systems, Design, Controls or Performance Engineer, or related position.
Alternatively, the employer will accept aBachelor’s degree in Electrical or Systems Engineering, or related field and 5 years of experience as a Systems, Design, Controls or Performance Engineer, or related position.
JOB SITE: Fridley, Minnesota
WORK HOURS: 40 hours/week - 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Compensation and Benefits
Base hourly rate commensurate with experience plus bonus.
