Oracle Principal Consultant in Frisco, Texas
Principal Technical Consultant will be responsible for designing and delivering customer solutions for the professional services organization. This person has primary responsibility for the technical viability of a customer solution and be prime contact with customer on the solution deployment. The Consultant will work with the sales staff, other delivery personnel, partners, and sub-contractors to successfully scope and deliver customer solutions. Key activities performed by the Consultant will include:
Technical solution analysis, architecture, and design
Delivery process definition (Implementation Strategies)
Migration and Database Conversion planning
Daily interaction with customer on solution progress
Providing Delivery team with daily status updates
Primary responsibilities of the Consultant are:
Provide Professional services for Oracle Communications Diameter Signaling Router (OCDSR), cnDRA, and vDSR based Solutions.
Services provided include initial system implementation design and architect, network integration, system provisioning, capacity analysis, special feature implementation, Test Plan creation and execution and other services as specified by the support contract and statement of work (SOW).
Service delivery activities include on-site and remote implementation of new systems, technical discussions, and explanations of proposed solutions with customers, development of methods of procedure and other documentation as required by the customer.
Work with customers to ensure technical compatibility with third party products required for "turnkey" Solution implementations.
Create, maintain, and execute detailed Methods of Procedures (MOP’s), Completion Notices (CN’s), project plans, and schedules of activities and deliverables.
Design and Creation of use cases, call flows, policy rules, routing rules, and database query logic/scripts based on customer’s Business and Service Use Cases.
Support Pre-Sales activities such as demonstrations, trials, and Solution scope definition.
Participate in the design, delivery, and administration of a Mentorship program for Professional Services personnel and Partners.
Assist project managers with project planning, reporting, and scheduling.
Represent Oracle as a prime contact for customer interaction for technical direction on solution deployments.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and presentations skills
Ability to interpret and develop detailed network/system drawings.
Knowledge & experience of data communications concepts of network architecture, TCP/IP Protocol suite, SNMP, NTP, and troubleshooting
Knowledge & experience with the following LAN technologies: Ethernet (10/100/1000/10G), VLANs, Spanning-Tree, and switching knowledge
Knowledge & experience with VPN, IPSec, Routing Protocols/technologies
Knowledge & experience with network management, OSS systems, Cellular & Cable technologies (PCMM, DOCSIS), Voice/Video/Data integration
Knowledge & experience with platforms framework and Operating Systems: Linux/Unix, Windows, Cloud Native (cn), Kubernetes (K8s), Grafana, Kibana, Jaeger, Jenkins, Selenium, HP Rack-mount server & Server Blade platform.
Strong Knowledge/experience 4G & 5G Technologies: Diameter (RFC 3588) protocol/applications/interfaces/http2, LTE/EPC/IMS architectures (PCRF, PCEF, MME, BBERF, CSCF, DRA, OCS, OFCS)
Knowledge & experience with SCTP, TLS, IPv4, and IPv6.
Knowledge & Experience of subscriber database technologies: HLR, HSS, SPR, EIR, ENUM, AAA, SDS, MySQL, DB query/scripting (pearl/python).
Excellent problem solving/analytical skills.
A self-starter and able to work independently with Field service experience in customer facing roles.
Ability to effectively deal with multiple activities, changing priorities, and proven problem solving and organizational skills.
Perform under pressure in critical situations.
Willingness to travel up to 50%, for domestic and international travel
Strong oral and written communications skills.
Able to clearly and effectively communicate work status, risks, and issues.
This position will be required to be onsite at the customer on a daily basis in Bellevue, WA.
BS required, MS preferred in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
5 years’ experience in implementation of large scale service provider network infrastructures.
3 years working in the services Architecture/Design/Consulting industry.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry with specialization in IMS, LTE/EPC, diameter/http2 (4G & 5G) and a good exposure to network functions such as SCP, AMF, UDM, SEPP, NSSF, NEF, BSF, PCF, and NRF.
CCNP or equivalent IP networking certification preferred.

Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Ability to travel as needed.
