Oracle Principal Program Manager – Global Product Security in Frisco, Texas

Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a member of the product development division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Suggest and justify product directions and specifications. Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.

Under theleadership of Oracle's Chief Security Officer, Global Product Security acts asa central resource to help teams improve the security of their products andservices. The Security Program Management team is responsible for the OracleSoftware Security Assurance standards that govern security assurance at Oracle.We re looking for someone to help us continually improve these standards and toprovide training materials to help technical staff to create and manage secureproducts and services.

The mainresponsibilities of this role are to help update and improve the OracleSoftware Security Assurance standards, to create and manage training resourcesand to manage other security programs. All as part of a small, committed team,with influence across the whole organization.

We are lookingfor a person with a background in security, experience in managing programs andprocesses and excellent communication and influencing skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge and expertise on security assurance

  • Continually improve security standards to adapt to changing technologies and processes

  • Work with technical staff across Oracle to help them deliver secure products and services

  • Help create training resources providing content and technical authoring

  • Monitor, manage and improve the uptake of these training resources

  • Manage other security related programs and projects

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to organize complex material

  • Good knowledge of security assurance an understanding of DevSecOps would be a plus

  • Self-motivated, you have the natural drive to learn and pick up new skills

  • A team player with the ability to work collaboratively within our team and across Oracle

  • Agile and happy to continually adapt to change.

  • A bachelors or higher degree in a technical subject
