Registered Nurse RN Med Surg Schedule: PRN Days

The Registered Nurse is responsible for planning and providing individual goal directed nursing care that promotes, advocates for, and strives to protect the health, safety and rights of the individual, family and community. The nurse possesses knowledge of the principles of growth and development and the particular skills necessary to provide optimum patient care. The RN is accountable for their practice and care coordination. The RN is expected to practice autonomously utilizing evidence based practices. Medical City Frisco operates as an acute care hospital with services including orthopedics, neurosurgery, gynecology, pediatric surgery, bariatrics, general surgery, ENT, robotics, and ER. Additional services, including OB and cardiovascular treatment, will be added in the future.

Medical City Frisco currently has 54 beds, 12 state-of-the-art operating suites including two DaVinci robots, a 24/7 emergency room, a full-imaging department with a 64-slice CT, MRI and fluoroscopy, a fully accredited lab, and a blood bank.

Education: * * Graduate of a Professional School of Nursing * BSN Required *Licensure/certification/registration: * Texas State RN license or compact license is accepted, * National Specialty Certification in practice area or plan to achieve within one year of hire * BLS required * ACLS required
