HCA, Hospital Corporation of America Manager - Case Management in Gainesville, Florida

Position Summary: Assists in the overall coordination of hospital-wide case management functions including assessment, improvement activities, regulatory and accreditation surveys and compliance, appropriate admissions/status, and length of stay. Acts on behalf of the Director in his/her absence. Responsible for assisting with the oversight of staffing schedules, productivity standards, employee competency documentation, annual performance appraisals, performance improvement programs, staff education and special projects as assigned.

Experience Required or Preferred: Three to five years previous Case Management experience; Two years of which were in a supervisory or management role

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Demonstrated success and abilities in leadership, achieving results, communications, customer service and health care management. Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills, demonstrates analytical and critical thinking abilities, strong knowledge of governmental and private organization and community resources.

Education Required and/or Preferred:

  • Completion of RN Diploma program or related health care program Current Florida State Registered Nurse license Bachelor’s Degree Required.
