UNIT: The Behavioral Health Program at NFRMC specializes in general adult psychiatry. Our program treats bipolar disorder, depression, schizophrenia and other psychiatric illnesses. Our inpatient unit consists of 33-beds. We also offer ECT and outpatient group therapy (IOP and PHP).
Provides safe and effective nursing care to assigned patients utilizing the nursing process. Provides clinical and administrative support to the behavioral health program. Performs therapeutic measures prescribed and delegated by the physician. Participates in patient education and rehabilitation and provides interpretation of treatment to the patient and the patient’s family. Coordinates unit activities and assures accountability of all assigned tasks. Responsible for the direction and supervision of personnel assigned to deliver that care.

*EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED: * Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing. Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
*EXPERIENCE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED: * Experience in behavioral health nursing preferred 1 Years Acute care experience preferred
FL RN license required or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 90 days of hire.
BLS required at time of start.
