We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated individual to fill the position of Electrical Supervisor with our Chemical Plant located in Geismar, Louisiana. Essential Job Duties:
Maintain protection of the environment and the health and safety of our employees, customers, and the communities in which we operate and or transport our products, as our highest priority.

Supervise the activities and evaluate individual performance for the Electrical and Analyzer technicians.
Responsible for identifying training needs and providing training opportunities for Electrical and Analyzer technicians so they can improve their skills and meet goals and objectives.
Ensure that all Electrical and Analyzer technicians are qualified to perform their assigned duties according to OCC requirements and/or certified to applicable industry or regulatory requirements when required.
Coordinate, plan, and schedule Electrical and Analyzer maintenance activities to best obtain optimum utilization of manpower and resources to fill priority needs of the plant.
Analyze and control maintenance cost to minimize the cost of production.
Evaluate and assure accurate time cards, material requisitions, work plans, and schedules are being utilized.
Monitor and ensure that correct cost centers, equipment I.D.’s, inventory control and quality vendors are being used.
Evaluate and implement programs to monitor and improve the safety, health and environmental performance of the Electrical and Analyzer Department.
Organize, plan and conduct safety meetings, audits and incident/accident investigations.
Develop, evaluate and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to ensure ongoing integrity of equipment and to anticipate and prepare for future needs.
Ensure equipment and maintenance histories are maintained.
Coordinate the service contract for maintenance of HVAC systems in the plant.
High School Diploma or GED.
Five plus years electrical/analyzer/instrument experience in manufacturing environment which includes a good working knowledge of equipment, materials, techniques, and safeguards in respective discipline for maintenance and construction.
High proficiency in Microsoft applications (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
Must be able to respond to off hour emergencies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to read, write and speak in English
Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to work weekends, holidays and respond to callouts on a non-routine basis.
Physical requirements – Must be able to lift 40 lbs, climb ladders and stairs. Walking, bending, stooping is required. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment including the use of a respirator. Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms.
Additional Desired Qualifications:
Good working knowledge of SAP.
