We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated individual to fill the position of Electrical Supervisor with our Chemical Plant located in Geismar, Louisiana. Essential Job Duties:

  • Maintain protection of the environment and the health and safety of our employees, customers, and the communities in which we operate and or transport our products, as our highest priority.

  • Provide attention to detail, and dedication to work in order to ensure reliability of the work site as well as high quality product.

  • Ensure that you and others are respected, supported and encouraged to grow and succeed in their job.

  • Supervise the activities and evaluate individual performance for the Electrical and Analyzer technicians.

  • Responsible for identifying training needs and providing training opportunities for Electrical and Analyzer technicians so they can improve their skills and meet goals and objectives.

  • Ensure that all Electrical and Analyzer technicians are qualified to perform their assigned duties according to OCC requirements and/or certified to applicable industry or regulatory requirements when required.

  • Coordinate, plan, and schedule Electrical and Analyzer maintenance activities to best obtain optimum utilization of manpower and resources to fill priority needs of the plant.

  • Analyze and control maintenance cost to minimize the cost of production.

  • Evaluate and assure accurate time cards, material requisitions, work plans, and schedules are being utilized.

  • Monitor and ensure that correct cost centers, equipment I.D.’s, inventory control and quality vendors are being used.

  • Evaluate and implement programs to monitor and improve the safety, health and environmental performance of the Electrical and Analyzer Department.

  • Organize, plan and conduct safety meetings, audits and incident/accident investigations.

  • Develop, evaluate and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to ensure ongoing integrity of equipment and to anticipate and prepare for future needs.

  • Ensure equipment and maintenance histories are maintained.

  • Coordinate the service contract for maintenance of HVAC systems in the plant.



  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Five plus years electrical/analyzer/instrument experience in manufacturing environment which includes a good working knowledge of equipment, materials, techniques, and safeguards in respective discipline for maintenance and construction.

  • High proficiency in Microsoft applications (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).

  • Must be able to respond to off hour emergencies.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to read, write and speak in English

  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work as part of a team.

  • Ability to work weekends, holidays and respond to callouts on a non-routine basis.

  • Physical requirements – Must be able to lift 40 lbs, climb ladders and stairs. Walking, bending, stooping is required. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment including the use of a respirator. Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms.

    Additional Desired Qualifications:

  • Good working knowledge of SAP.
