Position reports to Supervisor - Planning/Scheduling (Maintenance)

What you will do:

  • Plan, estimate, schedule, and coordinate Static Equipment maintenance work orders

  • Ensure all jobs are planned and include Process Safety Management (PSM) and safety standards

  • Review Requests for Work

  • Visit job site to scope work

  • Review needs of requestor

  • Estimate the labor required

  • Estimate the material required

  • Order stocked and non-stocked material

  • Develop Weekly Schedule – Insuring that all resources are available

  • Develop work plans and standards for repetitive jobs

  • Track open work backlogs

  • Track status of work order to completion/closure

  • Maintain work plan file by equipment

  • Work with engineering and reliability departments as required to ensure technically sound job plans

  • Utilize pipe and equipment specifications to ensure correct material

  • Work with QC dept. to ensure correct welding, flange make-up, insulation, and paint QC documentation applied to job plans

  • Assemble job boxes with parts, special tools, and work instructions

  • Assist in root cause failure identification

  • Help to identify rework work orders

  • Develop and Update standard job plans (Asset Activities) for repeat routine jobs

  • Develop project plans for large jobs and coordinate implementation with multiple contractor companies

  • Maintain communication with equipment/service vendors

  • Prepare Isometric drawing’s, diagrams, and other sketches to communicate needs of the job

  • Work off-hour as plant needs dictate

  • All other duties as assigned

What you will bring:

  • Ability to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Credential) as issued by TSA (Transportation Security Administration)

  • Degreed: Minimum of 3-5 years in Industrial Maintenance Planning in a chemical manufacturing operation or extensive related field experience

  • Non-Degreed: Minimum of 10 years Maintenance Planning and/or Maintenance Supervisory Experience along with at least 3 years planning experience

  • Knowledge of production systems, static equipment and general mechanical craft skills

  • Ability to Formulate/Read Sketches, Drawings, and Specifications

  • Understanding of the Maintenance Function within the Organization

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds/ability to reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl

  • Willingness to work extended work days, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed and required

  • Ability to work and communicate with a team, take direction from supervision, keep required work schedule, focus on attention to details, and follow work rules
