We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated individual to fill the position of Outage Supervisor with our Chemical Manufacturing Facility located in Geismar, Louisiana.
Essential Job Duties:
Maintain protection of the environment and the health and safety of our employees, customers, and the communities in which we operate and or transport our products, as our highest priority.
Provide attention to detail, and dedication to work in order to ensure reliability of the work site as well as high quality product.
Ensure that all employees are respected, supported and encouraged to grow and succeed in their job.
Assure compliance to PSM standards (MOC’s, PSSR’s, Procedures, Audits, etc.).
Coordinate, plan, and schedule outage maintenance activities to best obtain optimum utilization of manpower and resources to fill priority needs of the plant.
Develop and coordinate the tracking of major outage schedules.
Supervise the planning group for all major outages and ensures work orders are planned in SAP with proper coding, estimated hours, and descriptions.
Assist in the execution of plant outages.
Track, optimize, and report major outage costs.
Evaluate and assure material requisitions, work plans, and schedules are being effectively utilized.
Supervise and manage the activities of contract personnel to monitor performance, safety, and quality of work performed during major outages.
Review for accuracy and approve invoices.
Write outage requisitions and approve invoices.
Manage contractors and vendors for major outages.
Provide training on outage planning processes, scheduling tools, and SAP, as appropriate.
Support the RMP process as it relates to outage planning and coordination.
Assist in ISO audits, Safety Audits, PSM audits, and Environmental Audits.
Provide support to theplant in various roles as required (turnaround support, process upsets, special projects, supervisor coverage, etc.).
Become an SAP Core User.
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
At least five (5) years of plant experience, which includes a good working knowledge of equipment, materials, techniques, and safeguards for maintenance and construction.
Experience supervising employees or contractors.
Working knowledge of the Routine Maintenance Process (RMP).
Proficient in SAP, Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project), and prefer experience with Primavera.
Ability/willingness to make decisions.
Technical knowledge (formal or on-the-job) required to obtain required certifications listed above or as described in the “Job Duties” section.
Must be able to lift 40 lbs., climb ladders and stairs. Walking, bending, stooping is required. Must be able to wear personal Protective Equipment including the use of a respirator.
Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms.
