Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking an experienced, creative, highly talented Consulting Manager, Disaster Recovery Operations for immediate employment in the Germantown, MD office. This is a part-time variable position, meaning work days and times will be determined on an as-needed basis.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Provides solutions to client challenges regarding capture planning and delivery, through the analysis of existing organizational problems and development of plans for improvement

  • Provides verbal and written feedback in capture and delivery related to requests for input in the development of technical and management approaches and quality management and resource planning

  • Recommends and facilitates where feasible the introduction to key external stakeholders during capture and delivery

  • Meets regularly with AECOM program management to review progress to goals, and confirm the current approach and/or make recommendations on improvements during capture and delivery

  • Supports remotely or in-person any field efforts requiring consulting support or implementation of technical scope during delivery

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 10+ years relevant disaster recovery or emergency management experience

  • Federal Contract Management – disaster recovery or emergency management focused

  • Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, basic Accounting/Reporting

  • May require as-needed periodic travel to AECOM offices, conferences or off-site meeting locations pre- or post-disaster. This includes the flexibility to complete post-disaster field work, either supervisory in nature or technical delivery of services. For example, site and/or facility inspections
