Work you ll do/Responsibilities

Work with client subject matter experts and business analysts to design, develop an approach for the configuration, estimate configuration effort, produce design documents

Design, Develop, Test Configuration Solutions

Configuring operational parameters such as roles and permissions, user attributes, regions, etc

Writing business rules and other business logic in GOSU

Configuring screen layouts, including creation of new screens, in XML files

Resolving issues identified in testing

Qualifications

Required

Demonstrated ability to design, configure, and test software products

Experience with multi-tier web applications

Object Oriented Programming experience (Java preferred)

Insurance Knowledge specifically Commercial Auto and Claims

Experience in engineering business process flows

Experience distilling complex business issues into concise requirements statements

Relational Database and Data Modeling experience

Technical skills to master application configuration: modifying XML definitions, scripting (JavaScript, VB, etc.), understanding of relational database concepts, and other skills involved with implementing an advanced web application

Experience with Agile project management methodology

University or College Degree and related technical experience

Ability to work with engineers to review technical designs and participate in code reviews

  • Must have the ability to solve complex technical problems and understand when to escalate issues Must take initiative, be a decisive decision-maker and show confidence in decisions made Must be able to take strategic direction from executive management and participate in strategic planning activities throughout the lifetime of the project Energetic and enthusiastic self-starter, Must be able to see tasks through to completion without significant guidance Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management abilities, with a strong attention to details Excellent oral and written communication skills Able to work in a team environment and independently with minimum supervision Flexible, enthusiastic approach to work including a strong desire to learn Capable of adapting quickly to new systems and learning, understanding, and applying new technologies Proven track record of providing high-degree customer service Desire to continue to work with Guidewire projects

Preferred

Certifications in system administration, system architecture, virtualization or cloud technologies preferred.
