Deloitte Project Editor – Bersin in Gilbert, Arizona

Work you ll do:

The Project Editor will assist with projects over the entire editorial production process, ensuring assets are in line with style, quality, and accuracy expectations, as well as house guidelines. This will include line editing, copyediting, and proofreading multiple asset types within limited time frames, and working closely with the production manager, content strategists, research analysts, senior designer, and other members of the Bersin organization to complete projects. As such, this Project Editor is responsible for developing deep expertise regarding our house editorial rules and must be able to juggle multiple responsibilities, adjusting workflow as needed to accommodate shifting deadlines. This Project Editor will also assist with publishing and library upkeep, using both our content managing system (CMS) and authoring tool(s).

Based out of our US Delivery Centers in Lake Mary, Florida or Gilbert, Arizona, you will work with the Deloitte Consulting organization to design, develop and build solutions to help clients reimagine, reshape and rewire the competitive fabric of entire industries. If not local to one of these locations, we can help by providing relocation assistance depending on how far you are moving. Our centers house a multitude of specialists, ranging from systems designers, architects and integrators, to creative digital experts, to cyber risk and human capital professionals. All work together on diverse projects from advanced preconfigured solutions and methodologies, to brand-building and campaign management. The US Delivery Center supports a collaborative team culture where we work and live close to home with limited travel.

Responsibilities:

-Assists in the delivery of approved content from manuscript to published product, including line editing, copyediting, proofreading, and updating assets based on review from external and internal stakeholders.

-Line edits for concision, clarity, and logical flow, ensuring assets comprise required digital components.

-Perform rewrites as needed.

-Copyedits all assigned projects for house style, grammar, and punctuation. -Prioritizes workflow and completes work on schedule with direction from the Insights \production manager and project editor(s).

-Performs administrative duties (asset cleanup, library organization) using Quark (Bersin s CMS).

Basic Qualifications:

-Bachelor s degree

-2 years in editorial and writing skills

Preferred Qualifications:

-Ability to multitask and prioritize

-Effective written and verbal communication skills

-Effective interpersonal skills, team-oriented approach, and ability to collaborate

-Strong attention to detail

-Solid PC skills. including Microsoft Office product suite and Adobe Acrobat Professional

-Strong knowledge of grammar and punctuation

-Experience following editorial style guides

-Knowledge of the Chicago Manual of Style, Updated Edition

-Experience using digital authoring tools

-Experience with remote work environments

-Problem-solving skills to help troubleshoot issues with the platform or CMS
