CBRE Learning & Development Specialist in Glendale, California

JOB SUMMARY

Focusing on corporate initiatives, designs and manages curriculum and programs consistent with the company's overall Learning and Development strategy.

Requires exceptional understanding of L&D technological landscape.

Capable of acting as advisor to LMS team, troubleshooting system challenges and integration between other HR software, working with internal and external clients on eLearning rollouts, and has knowledge around mobile learning initiatives.

Candidate should be creative, and able to look at using systems in unorthodox ways.

An entrepreneurial outlook of bringing in cutting edge tools to leadership, as well as an interest in leading various L&D technology projects.

Assists in translating company strategies into actionable training initiatives, plans and tactics.

Develops curriculum and updates existing curriculum.

Recommends appropriate delivery methods to optimize knowledge transfer.

Develops sound relationships with business leaders, managers, consultants and trainers. Performs other duties as assigned.

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position.

Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers.

May lead project teams and/or plan, and supervise assignments of lower level employees.

QUALIFICATIONS

A four-year degree from a college or university program is required plus a minimum of 5 years experience in learning and development related responsibilities, such as needs assessments, program design, and curriculum development.

Real estate industry experience preferred.

Post graduate degree preferred.

Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers.

Ability to effectively present information.

Ability to work with, develop and present training initiatives to corporate heads.

Ability to provide excellent internal and external customer service.

Excellent interpersonal skills.

Requires solid knowledge of financial terms and principles.

Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages.

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents.

Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations.

Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.

Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite.

Proficient in course development software tools such as Adobe Acrobat, Captivate, Snagit, etc.

Knowledge of adult learning theory (ADDIE).

Ability to learn and become proficient in use of company's Learning Management System (LMS).

Decisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines.

Responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines.

Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to department.
