Interns in the Corporate Affairs/Communications Department will:
Create short corporate videos to align with our employment brand to be used in internal communications and external social media initiatives
Use internal communications and social media platforms to promote campaigns
Engage with associates in all business units, capturing photos for campaigns, special events and branding initiatives
Engage with associates in all business units, capturing associate testimonials (video/photo/written) of “Life at SpartanNash” for internal and external initiatives
and work to place the above content within our careers website and other digital tools. Minimum Skills - Educational Requirements:
Currently between the junior and senior year at a college or university.
Desired Major is in Communications, Film, Digital Media or Digital Marketing
Candidates must possess:
Video creation and editing skills
Project management skills
Excellent communication skills
Video portfolio of past projects
The ability to multi-task
Must also demonstrate the ability to be a team player and a self starter.
Responsible to work in assigned department and complete specific duties and projects; department opportunities may vary each year. Interns will learn about employment opportunities with the Company and have an opportunity to apply educational studies within the work environment.
High School Diploma (Required)
or equivalent (GED).
Some College Degree (Preferred)
Must be a junior or senior enrolled in a bachelors program with a cumulative GPA of 3.0.
Responsibilities and Essential Duties
Complete specific duties and projects within assigned division/department.
Responsible to complete or participate in at least one strategic project during the internship and give a short presentation to the executive team that showcases the project.
Participate in learning opportunities that may include: tours of our warehouses and retail stores, a community service event (ie.Habitat for Humanity, Kids Food Basket, or Special Olympics), a presentation skills workshop and/or a culinary cooking team building workshop, etc.
