Job Summary

Contingent on award of contract, AECOM is seeking an experienced QA / QC Manager for our operations and maintenance team within a major manufacturer in South Carolina.

  • Typical work hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00am – 4:30pm; hours may vary based on business demand.

  • Hiring bonus may be available to qualified candidates outside of the commuting area.

This position supports the Operations & Maintenance management team with project administrative and quality assurance supervision duties including:

  • Receive, record, track, copy, scan, file, and distribute all project correspondence and documents

  • Manage the quality assurance team and third party testing agencies

  • Establish, implement and manage quality assurance procedures

  • Assist in processing RFI’s, submittals and change orders

  • Coordinate the work of the contractor

  • Interact professionally with the customer, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and others connected with the project

  • Handle multiple priorities with attention to detail and be able to work independently

This position will be performing quality measurements, performance audits, KPI’s, and scope or work compliance. The top candidate will have experience associated with facilities operations and maintenance programs within an industrial manufacturing facility.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in business, economics, engineering, facility management or construction management, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience -OR- 8 years of experience in industrial facilities maintenance will be considered demonstrated equivalent experience with no degree.

  2. In addition to education, 3-5 years of experience related to quality assurance or control in a facility management environment.

  • This position will require the ability to obtain a security access badge at our client’s location.

  • This position may require various shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules.

Physical Requirements:

  • Some tasks will require repetitive wrist movement.

  • Some tasks will require the ability to walk extensively throughout facilities during a workday.

  • Requires ability to read and understand information contained in a variety of documents or displayed on a computer screen.

  • Requires ability to use a variety of office equipment and to operate a computer keyboard to access data bases, to send/receive messages and to prepare documents.

  • Requires ability to attend meetings throughout the site and potentially travel to other AECOM, customer and/or vendor locations in the area, as well as some air travel to more distant locations.

  • Requires the ability to communicate with others on the telephone and in one-on-one or group discussions, meetings and presentations.

  • Demonstrated fluency in computer use including the full Microsoft product line.

  • Requires some moving of light to medium weight materials into desks, filing cabinets and other storage locations.

  • Requires the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress.

Special Requirements:

  • Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed.

  • Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable levels of performance and overall contribution are maintained.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience in management and oversight of multiple inspectors and third party testing firms.

  2. Experience in facility maintenance techniques and process.

  3. Experience in project administration, submittal processing, RFI management, change order management, report preparation, meeting minute preparation, file management and document management.

  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and other Project Management Software.

  5. Experience using a CMMS, such as Maximo.

Other Attributes:

  • Must be willing to work overtime when required. May be required to work holidays and weekends.
