The current work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM with a one-half hour unpaid lunch break.
Duties may include but are not limited to:
Flushing hydrants after repairs
Operation and maintenance of distribution valves
Investigation of pressure complaints
No water calls
Conduct/observe pressure tests on new mains, collect samples from new mains
Maintenance, repair and installation of services, meters, mains, valves, and hydrants
Drive company vehicle in all weather and light conditions (must have valid Indiana Driver’s license)
Understand and comply with company procedures as they relate to area of responsibility
Work with and around various chemicals associated with water industry
Read maps and drawings
Read Mobil Maps
Verbal communications – face to face, telephone, email
Install and replace 2” and larger meters
Collections of water samples following main repair
Will have to stand Service Watch as may be required
Other duties as assigned
The appropriate Indiana Department of Environmental Management Certification (DSL) shall be required.
