Community Banking operates one of the most extensive banking franchises in the country, serving customers through approximately 6,000 branches and 13,000 ATMs in 39 states and the District of Columbia. Identifies, acquires, and grows new relationships with business customers in the healthcare industry who have annual gross sales of up to $5MM. Creates opportunities and partners with Regional Business Relationship Managers to discuss appropriate business products and services and onboard customers. Partner with their local Practice Finance Business Development Manager, SBA and other applicable partners who support the needs of healthcare practitioners on the appropriate lending products to meet their practice goals. Increases Wells Fargo relevance to customers and positions Wells Fargo Small Business Banking and product partners for new business opportunities through consistent marketing efforts and delivery of value added ideas. Partners with market leadership to develop strategies and to lead marketing efforts in a defined territory, including, participation at local medical/healthcare association meetings and conferences. Assists with processes including identification of new customers and customer acquisition prioritization, initial customer contact and follow up strategies, identification of products and services to meet customer's needs, proposal development, and overall management of new customer acquisition including onboarding. Create and obtain deep and meaningful relationships by providing solutions for Deposit, Loan, Merchant Service, TM, Leasing, and personal financial solutions.

This position will partner with Regional Business Relationship managers and other partners to ensure a smooth customer transition which consists of acquiring and onboard customers to the appropriate business relationship channel for ongoing management. Create and manage a joint strategic plan with Practice Finance Business Development Manager and team. Prospective customers will be primarily self-sourced or come from external referral sources, including Centers of Influence. The majority of time (70%+) will be spent engaging in outbound activities outside of the office. Responsible for all phases of the customer service and sales life cycle including lead generation, utilization of relevant systems, following applicable policies, leveraging product knowledge, assessing credit worthiness of prospects, and facilitating communication between the Regional Business Relationship team and customer.

Major responsibilities:

  • Selects and develops external referral sources, leads and contacts, partnering with local Practice Finance Business Development Manager, SBA and other internal partners who work with healthcare professionals.

  • Participates in local, regional, and national industry trade shows and sales events as required.

  • Provides management with appropriate and timely reporting/communications regarding lead generation, new transactions, forecast changes, market conditions and competitive issues.

  • Ensures that all transactions from origination through close of deal are processed completely, accurately, in accordance with quality customer service standards and turn-times and Wells Fargo policy and procedures.

  • Generate new business relationships that would benefit from Wells Fargo’s products and services through effective business development activities and partnering with internal lines of business.

  • Create and manage a joint strategic plan with Practice Finance Business Development Manager and team.

This LO position has customer contact and job duties which may include needs assessing and referring those customers interested in a dwelling secured product to a SAFE team member. This position includes assisting customers without taking an application and without offering or negotiating terms of a dwelling secured transaction. Individuals in a LO position also must meet the Loan Originator requirements under Regulation Z (LO) outlined in the job expectations below.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of business experience

  • Experience building and maintaining relationships with prospects, referral sources, and colleagues

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • A BS/BA degree or higher

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of financial services business

  • Strong networking ability with business partners

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills

  • Ability to be proactive, innovative and creative in meeting customer and enterprise needs

  • Ability to deliver dynamic presentations to business clients

  • 2+ years of direct sourcing and prospecting new clients experience

  • 2+ years of commercial credit experience

  • 2+ years of new business development experience

  • 2+ years of business-to-business sales experience

  • Knowledge and understanding of financial services industry

  • Experience building partnerships and consulting effectively with leadership

  • Ability to deliver dynamic presentations to business clients

  • Experience sourcing small business clientele

  • Ability to be proactive, innovative and creative in meeting customer and enterprise needs

  • Knowledge and understanding of outside sales in a consultative Business-to-Business environment

  • Knowledge and understanding of outbound calling and assessing customer needs

  • A BS/BA degree or higher in business or management

  • Healthcare industry experience

  • Strong prospecting, sales, negotiation, and influence skills

  • Established network in the local market

  • Experience developing partnerships and collaborating with other business and functional areas

  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization

  • Individuals in Loan Originator (LO) positions must meet the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements and-comply with related Wells Fargo policies. The LO qualification requirements include meeting applicable financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness and criminal background standards. A current credit report will be used to assess your financial responsibility and credit fitness, however, a credit score is not included as part of the evaluation. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening, if necessary.

  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
